Dan Langdon Memorial Fund
Dan Langdon was a wonderful husband, father, son, and brother. He was a self made carpenter who owned his own business – LTH Custom Builders. His passion was to make his family, friends, and clients happy with everything he did. With his passing, he left behind his high school sweetheart – Becky and three beautiful children; Jakob 10, Joshua 8, and Jordan 6. His whole family has always been very close and his mother – Sharon Gillette, father – David Langdon, and sister – Brenda Barden are missing him greatly!
Dan passed away on his 36th birthday while running the Detroit Marathon. He was an avid runner and outdoorsman. He loved to hunt, fish, golf, fun, 4-wheel, play the banjo and play outdoors with his children. Dan and Becky had been together since 1990 when they started dating. As years passed, they spent countless weeks and weekends vacationing and touring the unknown areas of the United States. Spending time with his family was the number one priority for Dan.
When the children were born, Becky became a stay-at-home mom. The Langdon children were raised by both of their parents and have never been put in a daycare setting. This caused hardships for everyone, but the material objects were not the concern of the family. With Dan’s passing, the Langdon family has been put into unknown circumstances. Becky and the children are now renting a house in Laingsburg, where Becky is student teaching during the day, and working in the evenings and on weekends.
The whole family is having a really hard time getting back on their feet after Dan's death. This new schedule is stressful for the whole family, and therefore they are now struggling to make ends meet without him being here. We all miss Dan very much for he was the main contributor for the family and avid contributor to the community. Among other things he was a little league coach, cub scout den leader, and volunteer for Habitat for Humanity.
We ask that you please help this family in a time of need. Contributions to the Daniel E. Langdon Memorial Fund can be made at Citizen's Bank or by using Paypal. Please come out and help support the memories of Dan at the 1st annual Dan Langdon Memorial Run. Also, keep posted on this site for additional fundraising opportunities!
